Quick Tips To Become A Better Listener

1️⃣ Stop talking
(Wow! What a concept! Literally, STOP talking. Just pay attention)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣ Let other people talk
(Listen *without interrupting* the person talking)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3️⃣ Listen respectfully⠀⠀⠀
(Be present. Pay attention. Acknowledge what the person said)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4️⃣ Respond respectfully
(Smile. Say thank you for sharing. Be enthusiastic and open, so the speaker wants to share with you again)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
REPEAT this process!⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Many people hear, but too few people LISTEN. ⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Practice these quick tips in your very next conversation. Let me know how it went? 👊🏾
