FLASHBACK: That time when I created the #1 musical in Canada with no singers, no band, and not one page of sheet music. And we actually beat We Will Rock You for Outstanding New Musical at the Dora Awards!
Such a blessing and I’m still so grateful.
Here’s an educational post I hope you find useful.
Just recently a friend asked:
“Shawn, how do you get paid for big shows?”
In a nutshell, I develop **multiple streams of income.** Here’s an example of my pay for this one show:
1) as co-writer/creator of the story;
2) pre-production workshops of the ideas and select scenes;
3) to choreograph the whole show;
4) a percentage of every box office ticket sold…
Does everyone get compensation that way?
Nope.
But because of my unique skill set and tremendous experience and value I bring to the table, I’m in a unique position to accept many revenue sources.
If YOU want to learn how you can do the same, it’s as easy as dropping me a line.
Anything is possible if you’re willing to think WAY outside the box. In fact, just throw away the damn box. STOP copying what everyone else is doing. Research some people who ACTUALLY know what they’re doing and have the success you want, and just LEARN FROM THEM.
Most importantly, encourage yourself and your team to have tons of imagination and #ThinkBIGGER 😉
