Four Game-Changing Questions To Ponder Today
- What and who is important to you?
- Describe what your future looks like?
- How is what you’re doing right now helping you get there?
- If you lost your job tomorrow, what would you do?
You don’t have to have all the answers. And your answers may change over time. But now is the perfect time to start asking the right questions.
I know it can be scary or overwhelming to accept the reality that you’re expendable. But the plain truth is this:
Unless you work for yourself… you’re working for someone else.
Think about it.
Because sooner or later (in today’s economic condition, it’s sooner) they won’t need you. Some of the largest retailers on EARTH just let employees go… Yikes! So why are YOU different?
Why Ostriches Are Delicious
Stop pretending you don’t hear the news. Feathering yourself and sticking your head in the sand doesn’t change the broadcast.
No wonder hyenas think ostriches are delicious. They’re always on the menu.
Take charge. Today. Start exploring, TODAY. There’s no reason for you to be a layoff statistic when every news media you watch, swipe and listen to daily is roaring with cutbacks, downsizing and job insecurity.
What else do you need? A blazing meteor to strike your living room?

Listen. Losing a job sucks balls.
But it doesn’t have to be a terrifying, debilitating experience for you or your family if that happens. Be a scout and simply “Be Prepared,” for the news. START: by preparing yourself with questions that matter. And get insight from a success coach and leaders willing to sit and help you figure out what the heck a Plan B could be.
Who knows? The discovery process could be a blast. (See what I did there?)
Because if you’re like most people…
…you might be clueless what you’d actually do. And that’s ok. But it’s not ok to just sit there, pretend you didn’t read this article and not take action. I’ve extended the lifeline, but it’s up to YOU to grab hold.
