Say farewell to two thousand twelve!
Tonight was my personal last night of tap dance and hip hop dance classes for 2012. After Thursday, the studio will be shut down for most of the holiday season.
==== SIDE NOTE ====
Maybe I’ll gain a much needed 5 pounds? All this dancing is making me lose more weight then I need to…
====
I had my tap dancers think about all the tips, lessons and techniques they learned throughout 2012 and apply them to tonight’s intense routine, without me explaining things they already know. We sweat lots in tap technique class, new steps were learned in elementary tap choreography and we got “bucc” in hip hop.
Wild.
Crazy.
My thighs and my calves are toast. I can only imagine how my dancers feel. But at least they know I’m sweating in that room with them.
The holidays are here! We will be without dance for two weeks I’m blessed and privileged to have such a remarkable group of people coming to take classes at BDX, and sharing in the experience!
Personally, my own technique has improved. My stamina is stronger than last year. Bur my current injuries prevent me from working at 120 percent. I’m working through that. As they say in the biz, “The show must go on!”
If you love to dance, it isn’t too late to share your experience with someone awesome in 2013. Gift passes are available, you can get one in person.
I eagerly look forward to the new creativity 2013 will bring, people I will meet, experiences I will learn from and cannot wait to share fresh ideas, more positive energy, and our favourite family time activity after the holidays…
…High-fives!
Wishing you and your family a peace filled Christmas, and a relaxing holiday that brings warmth to your heart and teeth smiles with every hug.
Cheers, and see you on the dance floor!
