Ever wonder how some people are always energized & optimistic, even in bleak, frustrating or depressing times?
How is it that some people continue to exude positive energy flow, while others struggle? What do these superachievers do to improve their mindset?
I’m fighting sleep by sipping green tea in London. I’m en route to Scotland for an inspiring visit. The early morning sky is grey, the ground wet from light showers. Yet I’m so energized…
Superachievers know that to stay focused & inspired, they need to be in an environment that will nurture their growth.
When you see the same nouns and experience the same verbs, after a while perspective gets stagnant.
Superachievers seek ways to enrich their thinking. Which inevitably improves their quality of life.
Ever notice how a change in scenery, or surrounding yourself with fresh, inspiring people can break the “same ol’ same ol” thoughts and actions we go through? Change is good.
I’m not saying you need to book a flight to a 3000 mile away destination. Physically traveling to somewhere new can help, yes.
But your MIND can travel without leaving the comfort of your own home. How?
Read inspired books, or articles with alternate points of view. Listen to energizing audio. Watch dvds, web videos and presentations that show content that somehow enrich your life, passions and interests.
My mind traveled so far just writing this. Which explains my now iced tea.
Take time to think about it. What can you do to help your mind travel?
The UK is a hotspot of artistic talent. I’ll make new friends, see fresh talent, discuss dance, theatre, media and arts, reunite with familiar faces and reconnect with inspiring family.
But my mind always returns with creative ideas for experiences I get to share with friends, family and students back in Toronto.
Have somewhere you want to go (mentally or physically) but you’re hesitant for whatever reason?
I say go for it. Give’r.
Be brave, plan your itinerary and go as far as your imagination will take you.
