Here’s How To CONNECT and EXPERIENCE Dance in Toronto- Starting Today

It’s true- there’s a LOT of dance stuff happening! You just need to know where to find it. So to help you out (as I always do), here’s my line-up of recommended and must-do activities:

— 1) ADULT HIP HOP DANCE CLASSES: I taught some amazing hip hop classes at Laurier University for charity yesterday. A few of the conversations I had with students just reinforced the fact that we ALL need dance in our lives, no matter our age. To be inspired and motivated, to feel healthy, to reconnect with a past passion, or even if just to beat boredom.

— 2) IMPACT: Inspiration : Motivation : Passion : Attitude : Choice : Training

IMPACT was a concept created by the Inspirational Education Program Foundation. It was designed to address issues of drug abuse, violence, and obesity among youth, by making them aware that they have a ‘choice’. Instead of reinforcing the negative aspects of youth related problems, IMPACT focuses on motivating youths to choose healthier lifestyles.

I’ll be choreographing bits of this show, which involves hip hop, breakdance, martial arts, acrobatics and spoken word. I’m also doing a SICK performance in this show with a percussionist and beatboxer… Look for some of us on Breakfast Television NOVEMBER 5th. http://www.Impact2007.ca
